The Design Engineering Center is a research facility and was developed to encourage the exploration of a variety of quality related topics. The main goal of the Center is to enhance American industrial productivity through fundamental engineering research in the key areas of mechanical, manufacturing and management engineering.

The Center is a division of the Engineering Management & Systems Engineering Department located at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and is under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Ragsdell.
